| Sheree's Alchemy Class Schedule
We are excited to offer a host of creative classes for those that live in the Midland, Michigan and surrounding areas.
We a wonderful classroom space for you to learn in. We have 6 sewing machines and 3 sergers available for student use. If you do not yet own a machine and want to reserve one for a class, please be sure to state this at the time of class registration.
Our classes are usually limited in size so that we can give each student the attention they need to complete the projects beautifully. Please be sure to register early to be sure you hold a spot.
If we do not meet the minimum class enrollment number for a given class, we reserve the right to cancel the class. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will work to reschedule the class or refund your money.
Note: Material lists are provided in the store. You will receive your list at the time of registration, along with your 10% off coupon that you can use to purchase regular priced fabric, patterns and supplies for the class.

Basic Tote Bag Class
Date: Tuesday, June 19, 2012
Time: 9:30 am-12:00 noon
Fee: $25 (plus the cost of fabric and supplies)
Skill Level: Beginner and up (for kids over 8 and adults)

Learn
basic sewing techniques while making a one-of-a-kind tote bag. This is
a perfect class for beginner sewers. Intermediate sewers will be
encouraged to do some unique embellishing of their aprons.
Amy Butler Birdie Sling Bag Class

Improvisational Patchwork Pillow Cover Class

Students
will learn the basics of improvisational patchwork while creating a
gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pillow cover. Students need to bring a 16-inch
or 18-inch square pillow to class and will create a cover to fit that
pillow form.

will create a gorgeous child-sized 3-tiered twirl skirt using Sheree's
Alchemy Design fabulous skirt pattern. Students will learn how to
gather, create a casing, insert elastic as well as top stitch while
creating a gorgeous twirly skirt sure to be a hit with their favorite
little girl! This is a great beginner class.
Amy Butler Nappy Bag (Diaper Bag) Class

will create a modern and stylish diaper bag and changing pad in this
class. Basic sewing techniques as well as pattern reading will be
learned in this class. Students will need to purchase a sewing pattern
in addition to fabric and supplies for this class.
Amy Butler Barcelona Skirt Pattern Class

The
Barcelona skirt is a darling a-line skirt pattern that comes in sizes
4-20 (ladies). This is a great class for the student with some prior
sewing experience, but maybe has never made a garment before. Students
will learn to insert an invisible zipper, hook and eye closure and
lining.
Students will need to purchase the pattern and fabrics as well as notions needed to complete the project.

Students
will create a stylish and easy to make handbag using Amy Butler's Intown Bag sewing pattern! Students will learn to read a pattern, cut out pattern pieces and the basics of handbag assembly. This is a great beginner class, as it is a fast to assemble bag that does not require alot of fabric! Kids 10 and up are welcome to take this class, as well as adults.

will create a gorgeous and unique tiered skirt for ladies using a Sheree's
Alchemy Design skirt pattern. Students will learn how to
gather, create a casing, insert elastic as well as top stitch while
creating a gorgeous ladies skirt. This is a great beginner class.
Artistic Stitches Art and Sewing Summer Camp
Dates: Monday, July 23-Friday, July 27, 2012
Time: 9:00am until 12pm all five days
Fee: $165.00 ( fabric and supplies are extra)

This
is the perfect summer camp for those that love art! We will learn
about and examine the artwork of various artists and will create our own
works of art inspired by our studies. Students will create a variety
of amazing one of a kind projects including 2 pieces of wall art, a
pillow cover, a tote bag and something to wear (they will make and
embellish a skirt, pair of shorts, a dress and/or a top).
Some of
the projects will involve the use of paints and glue. Please send in an
artsmock or oversized t-shirt to protect their clothing. Students are
welcome to bring in their own art inspiration. Students will also need
to purchase any fabric needed for their projects as well as supplies and
notions. They will also need to provide their own canvas boards and
any paints they want to use if they have specific colors in mind. I
will have a variety of pants, glues, buttons and other found objects as
well as drawing pencils and other art supplies here for them to use. I
will also provide them with 2 sheets of canvas paper for their artwork
projects. A detailed list of fabrics,supplies and notions needed will
be handed to you after you register and we will work together to make
sure the student has everything they need to make the artwork they are
interested in making.
