This is our first session of the Fashion Sewing Camp. Campers will spend
the day at the shop for an entire week working to create some fabulous and
unique wardrobe pieces. We will start the camp off making a mood board
and then will spend the week sewing up skirts, dresses, pants, tops, handbags
and accessories based on the mood board. Every campers items will be
unique and on-of-a-kind. I will provide a variety of patterns, magazines
and books to help them come up with a plan. Students should bring in
ideas that they have already collected. This is a unique
opportunity for the young sewist that wants to learn to create modern, unique
clothing and accessories!
Students
will not need to purchase patterns for the class if they would like to choose
from my collection. They will need to purchase the fabric, supplies and
notions that they need for their individual projects and for their mood
boards. They also need to bring in a medium sized cork board for their
mood board. A detailed list of fabrics, notions and supplies will be created for each student at the time of registration. The list will be different for every child and based on the projects they would like to complete during the camp.
